Attorneys are often not needed

We have structured the End Probate packet to help our users prepare their finances so that beneficiaries can collect the assets without having to use an attorney.   

Generally, assets will be collected bybeneficiaries submitting a death certificate and filling in a form for each place where you have assets.   

For your home, they will need to send notice to your next of kin or decide not to send it, then file an affidavit with the county. We are planning on offering this part of the process as an additional service shortly or offering it on our sister service, Essential Estate.  

This type of administration is usually completed in a couple of months, sometimes a couple of weeks. 

In comparison, a probate takes 1-5 years andoften costs $20,000 - $40,000 in attorney, executor fees, and costs.
