Health Care Decisions/Living Will
A living will is a set of directions for your healthcare agent regarding your healthcare decision preferences. Since it is impossible to guess the specific questions they will be asked, most people leave a general set of directions and ask their healthcare agent to use their best judgment on all other issues.

The most common answers are:
-
I authorize pain medication, organ donation, autopsy, and
-
I prefer to stop life-sustaining treatments if they are not helping me regain meaningful consciousness or improving my quality of life,
-
My family can decide on burial/cremation details,
-
I don't want to provide specific physician directions.
